OPTIMUS provides professional petroleum engineering services to the oil and gas industry, with an emphasis on production enhancement and problem well analysis. Our specialization is hydraulic fracturing and formation damage removal. Services are provided on a daily or project basis. Where required, OPTIMUS will employee other specialized expertise necessary to meet the client's needs.

Our services include:

Oil and Gas Field Restoration Projects
Including well workovers, well repairs, fishing operations, formation stimulation, installation of artificial lift, well testing, property optimization and environmental assessment.

Equipment Procurement and Training

Involving the recommendation, selection and procurement of equipment formajor projects. Equipment types range from chemical mixing and injection to Swab units and workover rigs. OPTIMUS specializes in the evaluation of, and the procurement of, stimulation and well production equipment.

Hydraulic Fracture Project

Providing specialized assistance from the design stage, through field supervision and post-frac analysis.  M.W. Hagel Consulting Ltd. is a licensed user of Meyer's 3-D Fracture Simulator, and an agent for Meyer's Fracture Design Software. Consulting services and training are provided to both domestic and foreign companies.

Hydraulic Fracture Training

Hands-on fracture design and analysis training is provided to both service and operating company personnel. Meyer's "MFrac III Software" is utilized by each student to enhance the learning experience and provide practical training which can be directly applied to future frac designs.

Contract Negotiations

Offering extensive experience in contract negotiations for both domestic and international contracts.

Proppant Selection Training for Engineers

Advancements in the manufacturing and processing of proppants provide many alternatives to enhance the ultimate fracture design. Seminars are provided to the service and producing companies, which increase the understanding of the key parameters for selection of proppants for treatment optimization.

Non-Conventional Well Testing

The GLS-2000 is a portable, graphical, computer assisted pressure data acquisition system. It enables on-site analysis of most problems associated with the operation of oil and gas wells. The solutions are obtained with new technology, utilizing proven principles in a manner that is quick, insightful and easy to use. Generally the wellsite tests can be completed within hours, versus days for conventional testing.

	The GLS-2000 calculates sand face flow rates while producing gas through a critical flow prover or a gas meter.The knowledge of sand face rates allows one to apply the variable rate or superposition solution to the testing of oil and gas wells. This means that the draw down portion of an oil or gas well test can now be used to calculate reservoir properties.
